Caring for kaba-zaiku
Precautions common to all products
Leaving it under direct sunlight, near a heat source such as a stove, or in a humid place may cause the attached cherry bark to peel off.
Avoid doing so as it will shorten the life of the product.

〈Water wet〉
In order to take advantage of the excellent moisture and dryness characteristics of kaba-zaiku, the entire product is not treated with lacquer or resin for protection.
Please keep away from water.
If it gets wet, wipe it off with a dry cloth quickly.

The oil from your hands will stick to the product and gradually lose its luster.
A light rub with a soft, dry cloth will restore the shine.
Be careful not to rub with a hard cloth or rub too hard, as the surface of the cherry bark may be scratched or the bonded surface may peel off.
If rubbing with a dry cloth does not restore the luster, apply a small amount of white wood wax, and when the wax dries, wipe it off with a dry soft cloth.
The recommended cleaning frequency is once a year.
