"Sensitive Wall Covering Panel"
Designed by: Mauricio Clavero Kozlowski

This wall panel can be used as decoration for homes, hotel entrances, stores, etc.

This product was a groundbreaking discovery.

75% of tissues in Japan are made from broadleaf forests in the Tohoku region. While satoyama forests are cut down every 50 years, broadleaf trees regenerate naturally, making this activity possible.

Cherry bark has been used as a reinforcing material in Japan for about 7,000 years, and it will never run out.

Our company collects bark (cherry bark) from wild cherry trees in broadleaf forests that are scheduled for felling. In fact, the cherry bark is usually peeled off and disposed of after the wild cherry trees are felled. It would be a waste to waste it, so we peel it off before the trees are felled.

Due to preconceived notions, only a very small amount of the harvested cherry bark is considered to be genuine birch crafts, and most of it ends up being stockpiled as unused material with nowhere to go. The material for this wall panel is an upcycled product that utilizes such materials.

However, in developing this wall panel, we discovered that by shifting the stage of Sakurakawa from tableware to the wall surface, the rugged natural expression stands out even more. The contrast between the man-made house and the natural scenery enriches our souls.

Decoration using birch crafts. The birth of "Sensitive Wall Covering Panels".

This has enriched our hearts, and we have been able to reward our work by relaxing the conditions for harvesting cherry bark.

*Since materials with a rough appearance cannot be worked on as smoothly as traditional birch crafts, we ask that you please allow plenty of time for your order regarding delivery.
