Strawberries can be purchased all year round, but their season is from May to June.
They contain high levels of vitamin C, which is involved in the synthesis of collagen and protects the body from stress, and folic acid, which is effective in preventing anemia. They also contain pectin,
which suppresses the rise in blood sugar and lowers cholesterol levels.
To make French toast, the baguette is soaked in an egg mixture overnight which makes it soft and fluffy.
